Sharing a Dog Walk With the Household

In any household with more than one adult and one dog, the same exchange happens daily: did you take him out, and how far did you go? It is not really a question about exercise. It is a question about whether something has been done, asked because there is no way to check.

Three ways to share a walk

CorePaw shares walks three ways, and all of them are free on every plan — this is not a Premium feature:

• With your household. Pick who should see it. They get a live "shared a walk" nudge and it lands in their Shared with me list. The walk has already synced to them, so there is nothing to download.
• By email. Send anyone outside the household a CorePaw-branded summary with the route map, times and distance. It is sent server-side, so it arrives properly rather than depending on your phone's mail app.
• To social, or any app. A branded square image with the route map, distance, duration, pace and the CorePaw logo, generated on your phone and passed to the normal share sheet for Instagram, WhatsApp or Messages.

Why attribution matters more than sharing

The sharing is the visible feature. The one that actually changes household life is quieter: every walk, every feed, every dose and every note records who logged it and when. The pet's history reads as "Tony fed Ringo" rather than "fed", and the daily log groups by day.

That single detail removes an entire category of domestic friction. Nobody has to remember to announce what they did, and nobody has to ask. The record answers it.

The same principle across the day

It applies well beyond walks. The daily care log has one-tap tiles for feed, water, med, toilet and note, each stamped with who. The medication dose log shows "Given 13:04 · Tony", which exists specifically so nobody double-doses — the highest-stakes version of the same problem.

What household sharing needs

Walk sharing itself is free. Adding people to a household — with roles, permissions and sync across devices — is part of CorePaw Cloud. The person who creates the household is its owner, and each member gets a role: Viewer sees everything and changes nothing, Member can edit the areas the owner ticks, and Co-owner has full access. Members can carry a label like "Child" or "Dog walker", and permissions are chosen when the invite is sent so people arrive with the right access rather than being adjusted afterwards.

Walks from outside the household

If a dog walker or sitter runs their business on CorePaw Pro and you have shared your dog with them, their walks appear in the same history with route map, a diary of what happened and who logged it. Owners pay nothing for this, and you choose per dog exactly what is visible.
