How do medication courses work?
You set the name, the dose, how often it is given (one to four times a day, with the dose times editable), and the start date. A course either runs until you stop it or ends on a fixed date, with 7, 14 and 28-day quick-sets. Finished courses drop off the pet screen on their own.
How does CorePaw stop us double-dosing?
Every dose is ticked off in a shared log stamped with who gave it and when — "Given 13:04 · Tony". Everyone in the household with medication access sees the same list, so the answer to "has she had her tablet?" is in the app rather than a guess.
Do reminders work when the app is closed?
Yes. Reminders are scheduled with the operating system, so they fire with the app closed and are rebuilt after a reboot. CorePaw only asks for notification permission when there is actually something to remind you about.
Can I log a dose from the notification?
Yes. A medication reminder carries a "Mark as given" action — tapping it opens the app, logs that dose and clears the notification.
What if a dose is given off schedule?
You can log an extra, off-schedule dose. It appears in the same history with who gave it and when.
Does everyone in the house get told?
Yes — everyone with medication access, and nobody else. They get a notification saying who gave what and when: "Tony gave Ringo's Apoquel at 14:32". It arrives whether their app is open or closed. A household member without medication access is not told, because that is what the permission means.
What else gets reminders?
Any health record with a next-due date: a heads-up a week before and a nudge on the day, both at 09:00. The annual microchip-registration check has its own reminder too.
