Is CorePaw available yet?
Not yet — CorePaw is pre-launch and coming to iPhone and Android. Join the waitlist and we'll email you the day it goes live.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The whole app is free on one device for one pet: daily care, health records, reminders, medications, walks, measurements, the symptom diary, documents, the photo album, memorial mode and the vet health-summary PDF. Premium adds family sharing, sync, cloud backup, cloud media and unlimited pets.
Does it work for cats as well as dogs?
Yes. The app adapts to the species — the walks tracker and size-class picker only appear where they apply, a cat's toilet tracker reads "Litter", the passport shows a cat's indoor/outdoor status, and the vaccine information covers cat vaccines as well as dog ones.
Do I need a connection?
No. CorePaw writes everything to your phone first and the whole app works offline, including the vet PDF. Only the AI vaccination-card scan and cloud sync need a connection.
Pets & records
What can I keep about my pet?
Identity and passport details, microchip and registry, allergies, daily care, food and portions, walks with GPS routes, vaccinations and health records, medication courses and doses, measurements with a body condition score, a symptom diary, documents and photos.
Can I hide sections I do not use?
Yes — per pet. Hide Walks for an indoor cat or Microchip for an unchipped rescue, and turn them back on whenever you like. The choice syncs across the household.
What happens to a pet I no longer have?
Pets are never hard-deleted. A pet can be archived, or — if they have died — marked as passed away, which silences every reminder for them and turns their profile into a memorial keepsake.
Health
How does the AI vaccination-card scan work?
Photograph the card and CorePaw extracts the records for you to check before anything saves. It never imports "next due" dates, because a date printed on a card is often a vial expiry. You get three scans free; unlimited comes with Premium.
Does CorePaw give veterinary advice?
No. CorePaw is a record-keeping tool. The vaccine information is general and clearly marked as such — decisions about your pet's treatment stay with your vet.
Can I give my vet a summary?
Yes. One tap builds a shareable, printable PDF with identity, microchip, latest weight and body condition score, allergies, the health history, current medications and the symptom diary with photos, then opens the share sheet to email, print or save it. Built on your device, works offline, free for everyone.
Sharing
How do I add my partner or a dog walker?
Send them an invite code. The code carries the role, label and permissions you chose, so they land with exactly the right access. Family sharing is part of Premium.
Can I limit what someone can change?
Yes. Viewers change nothing; Members can edit only the areas you tick; Co-owners have full access. Documents and the photo gallery have their own permissions, and every rule is enforced in the database, not just hidden in the app.
Can I hand the household over to someone else?
Yes. An owner can promote a Co-owner or transfer ownership entirely and step down to a fully-capable member. A household always keeps at least one owner.
Pricing
How much will Premium cost?
The price has not been set yet — CorePaw is pre-launch and the subscription provider is not wired up, so we are not quoting a figure we cannot honour. Waitlist members will hear it before launch.
Is memorial mode free?
Yes, always — even if a paid plan lapses. A memorial pet never counts toward the free one-pet limit.
Privacy
Where does my data live?
On your device first, in a local database. If you sign in and subscribe to Premium, your pets' records also sync to the cloud so your household sees them and you have a backup.
What happens to photos and documents on the free tier?
They stay on your device. A co-parent sees each item's details but not the file itself. On Premium the files sync to cloud storage as well.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. From Explore → Account you can sign out or permanently delete your account and its data. If you own a shared household, CorePaw asks you to hand it over first so nobody else loses their pets' records.
